Be afraid very very afraid!!!!

Can you believe that with the ever increasing number of shootings in this Bikie War we are ripping $150 million out of our Police Force.

I ask how long before an innocent bystander is injured or killed in one of these outrageous eye for an eye attacks.

Please explain why or how this reduction in funding can ensure our defenders are properly equipped to deal with this anarchy.

I am not convinced are you?

So now we are running a book on who will be the New Pope

My God what are we coming to. The bookies are now running a book on who will become the most powerful Christian on Earth.

I have to say Gambling as comprehensive as it has become is destroying the moral fibre of Society. The sporting scandals that have unfolded over the past decade or so seem to ultimately have their roots in organised crime.

No sport has been exempt, Boxing, cricket, soccer, horse racing and even my beloved Baseball.

Following the Dog and Pony Show put on by ASADA and the major sporting bodies recently, whom have cast rather veiled and non-specific accusations over illegal activity, the involvement of drugs and organised crime even this country is not exempt.

We have sat and looked down our nose, wagged our heads and gnashed our teeth at transgressors overseas only to be found wanting in our own backyard.

The introduction of gambling on almost anything in my opinion has not only invited but promoted the involvement of criminal elements.

And now we are punting on the appointment of the new Pontiff.

Maybe Dan Brown's Angels and Demons was far more prophetic than we knew.

Clearly nothing is sacred in this world - not even The Bishop of Rome.

Steven Marshall - a breath of fresh air

Congratulations to the Liberal Party in South Australia. The appointment of Steven Marshall is a breath of fresh air that will finally clean out the stale smell in North Terrace. Not sure who came up with the Commission of Audit idea, but if it is yours Steven it is inspired. The need to go through the Public Service of South Australia and challenge the Departmental Kings in their Glass Palaces is absolutely essential. Unlike the guys across the Chamber, whose idea it is to take to the Public Service they built with a Machete, to actually look at each Department objectively and firstly challenge the Accountability of the current management structure. It is far too easy for Departmental Heads to protect their precious Head Counts with inaction and poor management skills. It is too easy to avoid making a decent (or any) decision by calling for yet another (preferred) consultant, whom is likely to be based overseas or interstate as a minimum, to ensure the need to travel regularly to carry out yet another study and expensively published report. There are good people in our Public Service, don't get me wrong, but they deserve strong management that will ensure that the productivity and delivery of service is above average. I am sure most would agree with me the South Australian Public Service needs it's people to be much more effective and delivering high quality services to their respective client base. Steven again congratulations, your ideas are progressive and I look forward to you taking your destined role as the Premier of this fine State. To the party factions get behind this man he will take you far.
